Al-Kindi Society for Engineers will be holding its annual engineering forum in London, titled “Iraq Architecture and Planning 2016”.
The forum will be held on Saturday the 09th January 2016 and will be attended by a host of distinguished professionals from international high profile engineering and architectural firms.
The forum will be held as a 1-day symposium and will feature expert speakers and presenters. It will also be complemented by a range of activities including an exhibition on architecture and technology.
The forum will have an engineering perspective and aims to increase the opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing between engineers and architects. The forum will be comprised of two key sessions; the first session focuses on the architectural vision and perspective of modern iconic designs that shall leave a resonating architectural impression and compliment Iraq’s landmarks upon their completion. Among those iconic projects are the Central Bank of Iraq headquarters, the council of ministers’ complex and other buildings and developments.
The second session focuses on the conservation, reconstruction and planning aspects of architecture, specifically city planning and will shed light on a number of important schemes and city developments under way in Iraq.
Al-Kindi Society is also pleased and excited to announce the participation of the office of the world leading British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, and other renowned companies that shall be announced shortly.
