Ministry of Construction and Housing calls private sector to contribute on construction of 3 million housing units

Under-Secretary of Construction and Housing Aestbraq Al Shouk to take advantage of legal and regulatory environment that will allow public enterprises to contribute, and to enter into partnerships with the private sector, aimed to solving the housing crisis which exacerbated by time.

 Al Shouk said in the annual conference organized by the Ministry on the occasion of Arab housing in Baghdad that the transfers must be accompanied by reforms in the companies, and quick solutions to the leakage of its cadres, and modernizing equipment and reducing production costs, which distanced it from the competition. He pointed to the importance of partnership with the private sector to build 3 million housing units, because the transfer of ownership of public companies to the private sector, partially or completely, according to applicable laws, increases efficiency and makes the ministry devoted to planning and monitoring and supervision.
